11 best HR software options in Australia (2026)

In this article
As someone who’s spent years helping Australian businesses get their HR, payroll, and compliance in order, I know the right software can save you hours, and the wrong one can cost you a lot more than time.
In Australia, HR systems need to do more than onboarding and leave requests. They have to handle Fair Work rules, superannuation, award interpretation, and STP Phase 2 reporting. If you get any of it wrong, the cost lands on your people, and on you.
To help you pick the best HR platform for your business, I’ve trialled and researched the most popular options.
In this article, I’ll break down:
Which HR systems work best for Australian businesses of different sizes and needs
How each system handles STP Phase 2 reporting and Payday Super
How easily each one integrates with the tools you already use
The real pros and cons of every platform
The goal is to help you make the right choice for your business.
A note on transparency: our product is included in this list. To stay neutral, I scored every tool against the same criteria, based on public information and my own testing.
The best HR software in Australia at a glance
The best HR software in Australia is Rippling, which combines HR, IT, and payroll on one platform with STP Phase 2 reporting, payday super, and award interpretation built in. The right choice depends on your size and needs:
Best all-in-one (HR, IT, and payroll): Rippling
Best for shift-based and hourly teams: Deputy
Best for HR and payroll across Australia and New Zealand: Elmo
Best for established Australian payroll and compliance: Employment Hero
Best for mid-sized, culture-focused teams: HiBob
Best for enterprise: Workday
Quick comparison: best HR software in Australia
I’ve scored every tool in my shortlist against the same criteria (local compliance, integrations, support, and overall fit) so you can see which one makes the most sense for your team. Here’s the cheat sheet from my testing.

Methodology: how I chose my shortlist
Most HR platforms don’t offer a full free trial, so I mixed my approach. For tools without hands-on access, I worked through detailed product walk-throughs and independent reviews. For the ones that did offer a trial or live demo, I used them to see how the workflows felt in practice.
I focused on how each tool handled:
STP Phase 2 compliance: a must-have for any payroll tool in Australia to meet ATO reporting rules.
Payday super readiness: from 1 July 2026, super has to be paid every pay run, so your software needs to keep up.
Native integrations: direct connections with Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB so you avoid double-handling data.
Local fit: Australian pricing, AU support hours, and compliance resources built for local laws.
Ease of use: smooth workflows for onboarding, leave approvals, and pay runs.
Pricing transparency: clear, accessible pricing and trial information.
Reputation: strong average reviews across Capterra and G2.
Some platforms didn’t make the cut because they lacked STP Phase 2 compliance, weren’t suited to Australian businesses, or had poor reviews. The tools in my final list are the ones I consider genuinely viable for Australian businesses in 2026.
Deep dive: my full review of each HR tool
Now that you’ve seen the overview and understand the methodology behind it, here’s why I’ve placed each tool where I have. I’ve assessed them through an Australian lens, looking at STP Phase 2 compliance, payday super readiness, integrations, and how they hold up in real-world use.
You’ll see what each one does well, where it falls short, and the type of team it suits.
1. Rippling
Price: Starts at $12 AUD per employee, per month.
Of all the tools I tested, Rippling came closest to a true all-in-one for Australian businesses. It runs HR, IT, and payroll on one platform, with STP Phase 2 compliance built in, and it’s ready for the 2026 payday super changes from day one. It was the only tool I tried that could genuinely replace several separate systems without feeling bloated.
What sets it apart is the way it’s built. Rippling runs on a single source of employee data, so HR, payroll, and IT all read from the same records instead of syncing between disconnected tools. That unified model is also what makes its AI useful rather than bolted on.

How Rippling AI helps
Plenty of platforms slapped an AI label on things this year, so I went in sceptical. What changed my mind with Rippling is that the AI sits natively on your live HR, finance, and IT data, rather than floating above it as a chatbot. That meant it could answer questions and take action across systems I'd normally have to jump between, with several rounds of review in the middle. For your day to day, that means you can:
Ask in plain language and get an answer in seconds. I typed questions like "show me headcount and average salary by team," and Rippling AI found the data, ran the analysis, and built a verifiable, editable report I could share, no spreadsheet gymnastics required.
Run real payroll actions from a prompt. I dragged in a list of bonuses and the AI mapped the data, flagged issues, asked for my approval, then ran the command, including off-cycle pay.
Let your team self-serve. Employees can ask about their own pay, benefits, or leave policy and get a personalised answer without pinging HR.
Fix messy data at scale. I corrected outdated job titles and department names with a single prompt and a confirmation.
Because it runs on your existing permissions, the AI never surfaces data an employee shouldn’t see, and I could check its working in real time. For an Australian team juggling award conditions, superannuation, and STP, that's the difference between chasing reports and actually getting answers.
Why people love Rippling
- “It brings payroll, HR, benefits, onboarding, and device management together in one platform, and the automation saves a significant amount of time.”
- “Having one source of truth for employee data makes onboarding, offboarding, and compliance far smoother.”
- “It offered strong functionality across HR, payroll, and compliance, which helped reduce manual work and improve accuracy.”
All quotes taken directly from Rippling’s Capterra reviews.
Where Rippling falls short
Support is chat-first rather than a standing phone line, though you can convert a live chat into a call. That can still slow you down on urgent issues, but Rippling’s support rating on G2 sits consistently above its competitors.
Pricing is modular and quote-based, so costs can climb as you add modules, and the total is harder to predict upfront than with flat-rate tools.
Is Rippling right for you?
Use this if you want a clean, modern platform with powerful automation across HR, IT, and payroll, compliant in Australia.
Use this if you’re scaling and want a system that works globally as well as locally.
Avoid if you need flat, predictable per-employee pricing rather than a modular, quote-based model.

2. Deputy
Price: workforce management starts at around $8.75 AUD per user, per month, with a $30/month minimum. Deputy Payroll is a separate add-on.
Deputy is the tool I’d reach for if I were running a shift-based team. It’s an Australian-built workforce management platform, and rostering and time tracking were clearly where it was strongest when I looked at it. Its Pay Rate Builder interprets common modern award conditions, and Deputy Payroll, a newer add-on, takes approved timesheets through to STP Phase 2 pay runs in the same system.

Source: Deputy
Why people love Deputy
- "Deputy has helped with simplifying rostering, award interpretation, communicating business essential info to staff, payroll, and recording staff details."
- "Payroll inputting has reduced from 1.5 days to 1 hour due to the seamless payroll integration."
- "It's so easy to use, on both a manager and employee POV."
All quotes taken directly from Deputy’s Capterra reviews.
Where Deputy falls short
Where Deputy falls short
Full payroll is a newer, separate add-on rather than a long-established engine.
Pricing increases quickly as you add locations and users.
It’s built around shift-based work, so it’s less of a fit for salaried, office-only teams.
Is Deputy right for you?
Is Deputy right for you?
Use this if you run a shift-based business and want rostering, time tracking, and award-driven pay in one place.
Avoid if you need a mature, all-in-one HR platform beyond workforce management and payroll.

Pro tip: Deputy is at its best in hospitality, retail, and healthcare, where rostering and award interpretation do the heavy lifting before payroll even starts.
3. Elmo
Price: not publicly listed.
Elmo was the standout for anyone running teams across both Australia and New Zealand. It’s a full-suite HR and payroll system, covering the whole employee lifecycle: core HR, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, learning, and analytics. When I looked at it through a trans-Tasman lens, its Auckland office and support across both time zones made it a strong option if you also have employees in New Zealand.

Source: Elmo Software
Why people love Elmo
- “The advice, expertise and on-going support since then has been amazing and we have developed a wonderful partnership with ELMO.”
- “I use Elmo nearly every day for leave, mandatory training, and tracking performance KPIs.”
- “Nice interface. Everything is at a glance and the features are easy to use.”
All quotes taken directly from Elmo’s Capterra reviews.
Where Elmo falls short
Users report that the sales process isn’t transparent and that support often takes time to resolve their issues.
Implementation takes time and requires training.
Due to the large number of options for customisation, the platform can feel confusing and overwhelming.
Is Elmo right for you?
Use this if you’re an HR or payroll manager at a mid-sized AU or NZ business that needs local compliance and an all-in-one hub.
Avoid if you’re a small business that just needs something simple.

Pro tip: Elmo is one of the few HR platforms purpose-built for Australia and New Zealand, so seeing combined analytics across both countries in one place is a real advantage.
4. Employment Hero
Price: starts at $20 AUD per employee, per month (Lite plan, with a $200/month minimum).
Employment Hero was the most complete all-in-one suite among the Australian-first tools I tried. It’s a full-suite HR and payroll system built in Australia, combining payroll, HR, mobile support, award interpretation, and STP Phase 2 compliance for Australian businesses.

Source: Employment Hero
Why people love Employment Hero
- “It's simple and easy to use, which is good for a basic solution. Clients enjoy having a solution that costs very little and is easy to set up and use.”
- “We love the reporting on so many aspects of HR - turnover rates, surveys, 1:1's and the way it easily interfaces with other payroll systems. The recruitment function is so easy and allows multiple people to be involved in each step of the process.”
- “The sales and onboarding team have been very supportive. Uploading our data was so easy.”
All quotes taken directly from Employment Hero’s Capterra reviews.
Where Employment Hero falls short
Setup can take time, especially if you’re migrating from several systems.
Some features aren’t as intuitive to navigate.
Support can be slow to respond during busy periods.
Is Employment Hero right for you?
Use this if you want a single, Australian-compliant system with built-in award interpretation across HR and payroll.
Avoid if you want fast setup and consistently quick support during busy periods.

Pro tip: if you manage award-covered staff and want one platform for HR and payroll, Employment Hero saves you from juggling separate tools or running manual calculations.
5. ADP Workforce Now
Price: quote-based. ADP doesn't publish Australian pricing.
ADP Workforce Now read to me as the enterprise veteran of the group, clearly built for larger teams. It’s a full-suite HR and payroll platform, and where I found it strongest was compliance and payroll, with STP Phase 2 support.

Source: ADP Workforce Now
Why people love ADP Workforce Now
- “I use ADP on a daily basis to help administer payroll for thousands of employees. There’s a reason it’s so popular; it’s very user friendly and has a pleasant and logically put together interface.”
- “The Payroll, HR and Benefits management modules are most useful and critical for our needs. Our dedicated support person is top tier and very helpful.”
- “I use ADP every workday to clock in and out - even from my mobile phone. It's convenient, easy to use, and has everything I need right at my fingertips - including the amount of accruing PTO and sick time.”
All quotes taken directly from ADP Workforce Now’s Capterra reviews.
Where ADP Workforce Now falls short
The interface can feel dated next to modern cloud tools.
It’s built for large businesses and can feel overwhelming for SMBs.
Support can be slow to respond, especially for smaller businesses.
Is ADP Workforce right for you?
Use this if you need an enterprise-level HR and payroll solution with strong compliance features.
Avoid if you are a small business looking for an inexpensive, lightweight tool.

Pro tip: ADP Workforce Now suits larger, compliance-heavy teams; smaller businesses may find the cost and complexity hard to justify.
6. Workday
Price: Not publicly listed.
Workday was the heaviest, most enterprise-scale platform I assessed, and that cuts both ways. It’s a global enterprise HR, payroll, and finance system with strong Australian compliance, supporting STP Phase 2 and local leave laws, which puts it among the few enterprise-grade systems covering both HR and payroll in Australia.

Source: Workday
Why people love Workday
- “I like the mobile application capabilities as it helps us work remotely without much hassle.”
- “What I like the most about this Workday is it's self service option where employees can manage their information and have easy access to their pay statements and direct deposit information.”
- “My overall experience is great, I've really appreciate the ease of use, and other employees can also attest to this.”
All quotes taken directly from Workday’s Capterra reviews.
Where Workday falls short
Users report it’s priced higher than competitors.
It needs an HR team to maintain and keep current.
Built for enterprise, so SMBs can find it overly complex.
Is Workday right for you?
Use this if you’re an enterprise HR or payroll leader in Australia or New Zealand.
Avoid if you’re a small business or want a quick, low-cost solution.

Pro tip: Workday suits large, complex organisations that want to unify HR, payroll, and finance with global compliance. Most SMBs will find it too costly or complex.
7. BambooHR
Price: quote-based. Small teams (25 or fewer) pay a flat floor of around $250 USD per month; above that, expect roughly $12 to $25 USD per employee, per month.
BambooHR was one of the easiest platforms to find my way around. It’s clean, simple, and clearly focused on employee records, onboarding, and performance tracking. The trade-off I noticed quickly is that it suits smaller teams that want a straightforward system and don’t need Australian payroll.

Source: BambooHR
Why people love BambooHR
- “BambooHR has been a fantastic addition to our toolkit, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Its ease of use, top-notch customer service, helpful trainings and webinars, and sleek design make it stand out as an HR solution.”
- “I appreciate that it's pretty simple to use and navigate, allowing you to [get a] general overview of your organisation and then zoom in as needed.”
- “Bamboo is an easy to use system. It is not the Cadillac of systems but what it does perform, it does well.”
All quotes taken directly from BambooHR’s Capterra reviews.
Where BambooHR falls short
It can be expensive for small teams when priced per employee.
Some features, such as advanced performance management, cost extra.
Limited compliance resources for Australian-specific requirements. There’s no native AU payroll: a Xero integration syncs employee data, but payroll and STP Phase 2 lodgement run in Xero, not in BambooHR.
Is BambooHR right for you?
Use this if you want a clean interface, fast onboarding, and straightforward HR tools.
Avoid if you need built-in Australian payroll.

Pro tip: BambooHR works well for small teams that already have payroll handled elsewhere but want better HR workflows and onboarding.
8. HiBob
Price: starts at $16 USD per employee, per month.
HiBob was the most culture-focused platform I tried, clearly built for mid-sized teams that care about engagement. It offers flexible workflows, engagement tools, and people management, though when I looked for built-in Australian payroll, it wasn’t there.

Source: HiBob
Why people love HiBob
- “Very remote/global-friendly. Pretty easy implementation, great support from their team during the selection & implementation.”
- “HiBob is both easy for administrators to use and intuitive for end users.”
- “HiBob has been super easy to use. It has been appealing to the eye. It has really eased the workload around the office.”
All quotes taken directly from HiBob’s Capterra reviews.
Where HiBob falls short
No Australian payroll or award interpretation built in. STP Phase 2 lodgement happens in the payroll tool you connect to it, not in HiBob.
It can be expensive for smaller teams on per-employee pricing.
Some users find the reporting limited for in-depth analytics.
Is HiBob right for you?
Use this if you want an HR system with culture and engagement at its centre.
Avoid if you need built-in Australian payroll or award interpretation.

Pro tip: HiBob works best paired with a local payroll system, giving you strong culture tools alongside Australian compliance.
9. Sentrient
Price: starts at around $10 AUD per user, per month.
Sentrient was the platform where compliance training felt most front-of-mind to me rather than tacked on. It’s a Melbourne-built HR and compliance platform used by more than 1,000 organisations across Australia and New Zealand, covering core HR with a compliance focus, including STP, award interpretation, and built-in workplace compliance training. The part I rated is that it updates as Australian workplace laws change

Source: Sentrient
Why people love Sentrient
- "Sentrient provides exceptional compliance and training options for our business... they always consider additional courses and training."
- "Easy to use, has a wealth of information which can be stored, is highly functional, and the Sentrient team are very responsive."
- "Fantastic for the HR and compliance functions... I only wish it did payroll and rostering."
All quotes taken directly from Sentrient’s Capterra reviews.
Where Sentrient falls short
It’s less widely known than the larger AU platforms, so there’s not as many local reviews.
Some advanced HR features are lighter than enterprise-grade platforms.
Payroll depth varies by plan, and I couldn’t confirm its payday super readiness from public sources, so check both directly for your size.
Is Sentrient right for you?
Use this if you’re an Australian SME that wants compliance and workplace training built in alongside core HR.
Avoid if you need a large, global platform with deep enterprise modules.

Mobile app | Yes |
AU support hours | Yes |
Pro tip: Sentrient’s built-in compliance training is the differentiator, so it suits businesses that want to manage Fair Work risk and staff training in one place.
10. HappyHR
Price: starts at around $8 AUD per user, per month.
HappyHR was the one I’d point a small business toward if they wanted a human on the end of the line, not just software. It’s an Australian-built platform aimed at SMEs that want core HR plus practical advice, and alongside employee records, onboarding, performance, and recruitment tools, it includes access to qualified HR consultants. What I noticed is that it leans on integrations rather than having its own native payroll.

Source: HappyHR
Why people love HappyHR
HappyHR has a smaller third-party review footprint than the bigger players, so I couldn’t find much independent feedback to compare between. The one verified review on Capterra is mixed: the user found the team responsive and the platform a useful way to move HR to the cloud and stay compliant, while noting the product was "almost there" and still missing a few features.
What does genuinely set it apart is the included HR advice. Its subscription bundles access to qualified, Australian HR consultants, which is the main reason small businesses without an in-house HR person choose it.
Review from HappyHR's Capterra page.
Where HappyHR falls short
It's still maturing as a product. The one verified reviewer described it as "almost there," with a few features missing.
It relies on integrations rather than deep, native payroll.
As a smaller platform, it has a thinner independent review record, so there's less to go on than with larger tools.
Is HappyHR right for you?
Use this if you're a small Australian business that wants core HR with qualified HR advice included.
Avoid if you need mature, native payroll and award interpretation in the same platform.

Pro tip: HappyHR’s included HR advisory is its strongest card, so it suits SMEs without a dedicated HR person who still want expert guidance on call.
How to find the best fit for your business
The right HR software depends on how your team works, your compliance obligations, and how much time you want to spend on payroll and HR admin. Before you commit to a demo or trial, get clear on what you actually need. Be specific here, because the answers rule tools in or out faster than any feature list. Work through these:
Your HR software checklist
What’s my workforce made up of? Salaried staff, casuals, shift workers, and award-covered roles each pull you toward different tools.
Do I need full payroll, including PAYG withholding and STP reporting in the platform, or is payroll already handled elsewhere?
How much award interpretation do I need automated, and for which awards?
Where will the business be in two years? Same headcount, scaling locally, or hiring overseas?
What’s the real per-employee cost once payroll, awards, and superannuation are switched on, not just the base price?
The 2026 question to add to all of this: is the platform ready for payday super from 1 July 2026, when super has to be paid every pay run?
Questions to ask in your demo
In my experience, a platform always looks good in a demo. So you need to ask questions the vendor can’t wave away with a generic “yes,” and instead make the platform prove it on the spot:
Show me a new hire going from offer to onboarded, including payroll and system access. How many steps is that, really?
Run a pay slip in front of me. How long does it take, and what happens if I’ve made an error mid-run?
When an award rate or the minimum wage changes, does the platform update pay rates itself, or is that on me?
How are you handling payday super from 1 July 2026, and is it included or a paid add-on?
Which features in this demo are standard, and which are add-ons I’d be billed for separately?
Which HR tool is right for your role?
One thing I’ve learned from testing these platforms is that “best” depends entirely on who’s using it. An HR manager with 500 employees needs something different from a founder doing payroll between meetings. Here’s where each tool in my shortlist fits best.
Role | What you’ll need | Best-fit tool(s) |
|---|---|---|
HR manager (20–500 staff) | Onboarding, leave, payroll, and STP Phase 2 in one system that scales | Rippling, for a full suite with Xero integration and strong AU compliance |
Founders and small business owners | An HR system you can start light with, adding payroll or IT as you grow | Rippling for growth; BambooHR or HappyHR if you want HR without payroll |
Solo HR or payroll admin | A system that works out correct pay rates and reports to the ATO automatically | Employment Hero, AU-built with a mobile app for approvals and compliance |
Shift-based operators | Rostering, time tracking, and award-driven pay in one place | Deputy, for hospitality, retail, and healthcare teams |
CFO or bookkeeper | Native Xero or QuickBooks integration, STP submissions, and audit-ready records | Rippling or Employment Hero for AU-specific payroll and HR |
Distributed team | One system for roles, entitlements, and region-specific rules, including global hires | Rippling for HR, IT, and global payroll; Employment Hero for AU-first compliance |
Expert tip: if you run payroll, confirm the software is STP Phase 2 compliant and payday-super ready before anything else. Retrofitting compliance later is an expensive hassle.
Key 2026 Australian HR compliance changes to know
If there’s one area I’d tell you not to cut corners on, it’s keeping your HR tools current with the law, especially where payroll and awards are involved. Here’s what’s changing from 1 July 2026 and what your software needs to handle.
Compliance change | Why it matters | Covered by |
|---|---|---|
Payday super, from 1 July 2026 | You must pay super every pay run, within 7 business days of payday, instead of quarterly. This changes payroll cash flow and processes, so your software has to remit super every cycle. | Rippling, Employment Hero, Deputy, Elmo, Workday |
Award and minimum wage rises, from 1 July 2026 | The Annual Wage Review 2026 lifted modern award rates by 4.75% and the National Minimum Wage by 6% (to $26.44/hr). Your software needs current rates for accurate pay and STP. | Rippling, Employment Hero, Deputy, Elmo, Sentrient |
Super on paid parental leave, from 1 July 2026 | ATO pays 12% super directly on government Parental Leave Pay, and PPL rises to 26 weeks. You don't process this super yourself, but your platform should keep accurate parental leave records and payslips. | ATO-administered (not a payroll software function) |
The standout is payday super. Paying super every pay run rather than quarterly changes your cash flow and your payroll process, so it’s the first thing to check any platform can do.
Final thoughts and next steps
After testing all these tools, I was struck by how differently they handle Australian compliance. Some look great on the surface but fall short on STP and payday super. Others cover compliance well but feel heavy and clunky if you’re not especially tech-savvy.
Why Rippling took the #1 spot
Rippling was the only platform that genuinely felt like it could replace several systems without adding complexity. I could manage payroll, HR, and even IT tasks like device management in one place, all reading from the same employee data. It handles Australian compliance, with STP Phase 2, payday super, and local leave rules, and it scales globally, so you won’t need to switch platforms as you grow.
The unified data model is also what makes its AI genuinely useful: ask a plain-language question and get a verifiable answer or a real payroll action in seconds, not a label slapped on top of disconnected tools.
Australian businesses are already seeing this play out. Melbourne-based Mentorloop moved its HR and payroll onto Rippling and cut onboarding time by 20%, while finally getting its local pay cadence under control. As co-founder and COO Heidi Holmes put it, “The flexibility in setting up our payroll and the localisation efforts that catered specifically to Australian compliance made Rippling stand out for us.”
Final advice
If you’re still on the fence, run a free trial or book a couple of demos and compare them side by side. Once you’re inside the platforms, you get a real feel for how they’d support your team.

Best all-rounder for most businesses: Rippling is the one I’d point most teams to first, if you want HR, IT, and payroll on one platform with Australian compliance built in. It scales from small teams to enterprises and has one of the widest integration ranges I came across.
Small teams: BambooHR, for simple onboarding and employee records without payroll, or HappyHR if you want included HR advice.
Shift-based businesses: Deputy, for rostering, time tracking, and award-driven pay.
Enterprises: ADP Workforce Now, for complex payroll and compliance across teams of 50 or more.
What’s the best HR software for award interpretation?
From what I’ve seen, you want a platform with a native awards engine, such as Employment Hero or Elmo, that applies penalties, allowances, and overtime automatically. Rippling supports the most common modern awards across its Payroll and Time and Attendance products, auto-assigning standard award interpretation policies by worker type. The goal is correct pay calculations without manual work.
Which HR tools work with Xero or MYOB?
Choose a platform with native integration so employee data, leave, and payroll sync directly to your accounting software. Rippling and Employment Hero both connect with Xero and MYOB.
What’s the cheapest HR management system with STP Phase 2 support?
Pair Xero or MYOB payroll with an affordable option like Rippling or Employment Hero. You’ll get STP compliance, award tools, and core HR features without paying for extras you don’t need. If payroll is your main priority, it’s worth comparing dedicated options in our guide to the best payroll software in Australia.
How much does HR software cost in Australia?
Some tools publish pricing upfront, like Rippling, Employment Hero, BrightHR, Sentrient, and HappyHR. Others, like BambooHR, HiBob, and Workday, need a demo for a quote. Watch for low base prices that lock core features, payroll, award interpretation, or reporting, behind add-ons. Here’s a quick rundown of starting prices and whether payroll is included.
Rippling: from $12 AUD/user/mo. Payroll included. No free trial.
Employment Hero: from $20 AUD/user/mo (Lite plan, $200/mo minimum). Payroll included on some plans. Free trial.
Deputy: from around $8.75 AUD/user/mo for workforce management ($30/mo minimum). Payroll is an add-on. Free trial.
BrightHR: from around $6 AUD/user/mo. Payroll is an add-on. Free trial.
Sentrient: from around $10 AUD/user/mo. Payroll varies by plan.
HappyHR: from around $8 AUD/user/mo. Relies on payroll integrations.
BambooHR: quote-based. Payroll via add-on. Free trial.
HiBob: from $16 USD/user/mo. No native AU payroll.
ADP Workforce Now: quote-based, not published for Australia. Payroll included. No free trial.
Elmo: quote-based, not publicly listed. Payroll included. Demo required.
Workday: quote-based, not publicly listed. Payroll included. Demo required.
Can I switch HR tools without losing data?
Yes, and the approach I’d recommend is methodical: export your employee data, migrate documents, rebuild your automated workflows, and run one pay cycle in both systems to confirm accuracy before you move across fully.
