Reintroducing Rippling Automated Compliance: AI for every stage of compliance

Today, we're reintroducing Rippling Automated Compliance with a set of new features to help Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) teams run every stage of their compliance program: before, during, and after an audit.

We've added multi-framework support, broader integration coverage, a built-in audit portal, publishable trust centers, and embedded AI workflows to speed up repetitive work like framework setup, remediation, and security questionnaires.

Those capabilities allow Automated Compliance to support mature, multi-framework GRC programs – whether they use other Rippling products or not – while also helping customers of Rippling's HR and IT tools bring compliance work closer to their systems of record.

Multi-framework setup and reusable libraries

Automated Compliance is compatible with multiple templated frameworks, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA today, as well as several more -- ISO 27701, ISO 42001, GDPR and PCI DSS -- on the way in December.

Rippling AI can help you set up any of those templated frameworks, build a custom framework, or import your existing program, so GRC teams can connect their data sources and map their controls while saving hours of manual work upfront.

Libraries of policies, controls, evidence monitors, risks, and vendors can be reused across frameworks, so GRC teams never have to start from a blank page.

Automated evidence collection and inline remediation

Evidence can be automatically collected from connected third-party systems, just as they are from first-party Rippling HR and IT solutions, so GRC teams don't spend their time collecting screenshots and exports.

As controls are monitored, Rippling helps identify missing evidence, outdated policies, and incomplete monitors, proactively suggesting remediations that admins can carry out with AI.

“The thing that has probably moved us the farthest is the AI remediations. That's by far the biggest time savings… We don't have to do a whole lot of architecture review because the AI remediations have already done that for us. So our time to remediation has gone down significantly.

Once the audit begins, a built-in portal gives teams a dedicated place to manage requests from their independent auditor and keep their audit moving without rebuilding the same evidence package in a separate system.

Continuously demonstrate compliance post-audit

The next body of work is turning compliance into customer-facing trust. Prospects want proof before they sign a contract, and sales teams need a faster way to move through security review without routing every request through GRC.

GRC teams can use trust centers to publish approved compliance documentation and give prospects a clear, controlled way to understand their security posture. When lengthy security questionnaires come in from prospective customers, AI-assisted answer banks help teams respond quickly, using approved context from the compliance program they already maintain.

Instead of reacting to every new customer request, teams can complete documentation once and reuse it across sales cycles, compounding time savings with each new deal.

Context is king

When paired with Rippling's first-party HR and IT products, Automated Compliance turns live operational data into audit-ready evidence and unlocks the full scope of AI-powered remediation.

Most compliance products do a good job of tracking all the work that needs doing, but those tools can't do the work themselves. That leaves GRC teams stuck filling in all the coordination gaps: figuring out where the evidence lives, finding who owns the system that needs fixing, then following up to confirm that fix actually happens, and finally sharing the proof with an auditor.

Furthermore, staying compliant as your company changes — as people join, move, or leave — is where a lot of those same point solutions struggle to keep up. Rippling handles those changes automatically, so evidence tied to employee data, access, devices, and training stays current.

By moving compliance directly into your company's system of record, Rippling helps you stop treating audits as fire drills and start treating them as a byproduct of how your company already operates.

“It's been such a headache to do compliance with disconnected systems. And now that everything is connected… I know what I'm looking at. I know what needs to get done because it's right there in front of me.

As the saying goes, context is king. It's true of compliance, it's true of AI, and it's doubly true where those two meet in Rippling.

SOC 2 Compliance Doesn't Have to Be a Fire Drill
